Not sure what to say?

Sending hugs and prayers to all of you. Shorty was such a joy to be around and of course where Shorty was there was Mary. We so blessed to have Mary and Shorty as our friends.

Dear Mary & Children... My heart hurts today and every day, thinking about Uncle Rick and his passage. He was so much fun as he could be, I'm sure your lives were blessed with him as well. wish I could be there today 12/12/2024. Hugs and Love. Mary Jo De Vries

Our amazing Uncle Rick, so incredibly thankful for him. Prayers for Aunt Mary, Rick, Bret, Jene' and their families during this difficult journey. To add to how fun he was, Uncle Rick and Aunt Mary came out east for a visit and my Mom's (Rick's sister Mary) pancakes were a little tough. As usual Uncle Rick turned a bad situation into fun, as he tossed the pancakes out back yard to other family members stating, "look Frisbies!" Have so many happy memories. Much love and adoration.

Shorty was a friend of my dads (Ed Martinson) and I believe they worked together at Mare Island. Shorty and my 6ft tall mom, Jackie, use to dance at all the parties. I remember him as "the life of the party". My mom, sisters, and I send our deepest sympathy. Love, The Martinson Family

Shorty and Mary have been our friends for over 62 years and it has been our honor to be a part of their lives. Shorty was a true gentleman with a giant heart and we will miss him immensely. We extend our deepest condolences and love to Mary and all the family.

Shorty will be deeply missed. For the past 60 years he's been my brother-in-law, not once have I ever not seen him smile he always had a warming smile. My condolences to my sister Mary, my nephews Rick and Bret and to my niece Jene'.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

My sincere condolences to Mary and family. Shorty held a special place in our hearts. Always will hold fond memories in my heart. Prayers being sent your way. Fran Meckler
