I was influenced to follow metallurgy field by Mr. Echart and Mr. Opitz. Iwas glad I had an opportunity to speak to them at a Class WHS of '65 breakfast My sympathy and condolence to his family.

I am very glad I had the chance to see and talk with him at one of our class reunions. I learned more than I thought from his class. I discovered he had directed me toward Physical Chemistry. I have used that direction to help my careers for at least 35 years. He was one of the best teachers at Wilson to me.

Great teacher Very nice man. Rip.

To the entire Eckert family,
I am sorry for your loss. I was in Mr. Eckert's Chemistry classes at WAHS and all of my siblings had him as well. He will be remembered as a kind teacher with a warm sense of humor. Certainly an icon to the alums. God bless you.

Nancy,

We were so sorry to read of Dick's passing.-We always thought of him as a fine gentleman who treated us kindly. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
