Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to just learn of Dick's passing in the new ALPA magazine, myself also being a long retired Republic/Northwest pilot. As an 85' Republic hire, Dick gave me my IOE on the DC9 and he couldn't have been kinder or more patient with a newly minted jet pilot. My sincere condolences to the entire Edwards family- May his memory be a blessing-

Sally, Kimberly and Ryan, I offer my condolences and gratitude that Dick is not suffering anymore. I had the honour and privilege to work with Dick during my tenure as a consultant to the NWA Pilot Assistance Program. Dick may not have realised that he served as a mentor, teacher and model for the kind of person I want to be. He taught me about professionalism, restraint, and how to be kind, quiet and reserved all at once. He had a remarkable wisdom about people and that wry, dry sense of...

I just found out that Dick had passed. I'm so sorry. I worked as a line check airmen in Detroit he was great to be around and a great listener I didn't realize we were same age

Dear Mrs. Edwards, I was a pilot in Detroit during Captain Edwards entire tenure as chief pilot. I was honored to fly with him on the DC-9 a few times as he needed to get out of the office. He was always a gentleman and someone the pilots and agents looked up to. My wife, Anita remembers him coming down and sitting in load control where Anita worked and asked if there were any problems. He is now in a better place and no more pain. My heart goes out to you and your family in your loss. God...

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Sally - So sorry to learn of Dick´s passing. I recall just before your move to Florida he came across Lewis Ave.to let me know how much he appreciated how we kept our lawn and flowers. How sweet of him to notice. He was always a kind gentleman.

Dear Sally: I witnessed the love and struggle these past few months that you went thru caring for Dick and always being there. I only met Dick a few times but remember his dry sense of humor. My deepest condolences on the loss of your loving husband Dick.

Sally - Just before you and Dick moved to Florida Dick came across Lewis Ave. to tell me how much he enjoyed seeing our yard and flowers through the years. He wanted me to know he noticed. I knew Dick to be always a kind gentleman. May he R.I.P. Vicki Wyman
