Richard J. Eldred

Sincere condolences to my dear friend and Masonic Brother Richard Eldred who has become elevated to the higher levels of accomplishment. I am amazed at his accomplishments, his history and his long life; at age 92 I will meet Richard in the hereafter. God's grace on Richard, his family and friends and belated sincere thoughts on behalf of PHS Class of 1950, well known as the "Class on which the stars fell on and lit up," as there are a few of us left. RIP Dick.

Dear Shirley and family
It is with the upmost respect that I send my Condolence. As Shirley knows it was about ten years ago at the DesMoines reunion that I met Dick. I was there as a guest of another shipmate, and knew no one. Dick came over and offered his hand and introduced himself, welcoming me to the reunion.

Enlightening and updated luminary of current events,
Quiet friend with whom no one felt out of place,
Fearless volunteer in defense of his country, and
One about whom negative thoughts are non-existent,
We will sorely miss you,
We witness your ascension to Heaven.
