Professor and Dr Richard Ellis will always remain a beloved mentor, clinical supervisor and friend. I cannot possibly express my own gratitude to Richards compassion, empathy, in-sight and brillance. His incredible ingenuity is one of the rarest as he gave to others including myself with the kindest and most durable of gifts his own wisdom and self: Richard's body has parted from our ways for now: Not his soulfulness, wisdom and kindness he gave to so many in our world which was made richer...

I just learned of Richard's passing. He and Laura were devoted patrons of the Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College and we were honored to exhibit Richard's photographs in our museum. We extend our condolences to Laura and his family. His sense of humor, delight in collecting and learning, and his eagle-eye approach to framing a photographic composition were appreciated and we are grateful to have known him.
