His "Behavior Guide to African Mammals" was my favorite safari companion book. It seems like he lived a life of great meaning. I am sorry he is gone and so glad he was here.

Richard touched the people of East Africa in millions of ways: through his work and connections. The safari guides benefited from his explanation and understanding of our wildlife leading to more conservation efforts and stewardship.
