If you wanted to find a successful, Christian, family man, you needed to meet Dick. Due to his engineering expertise, he was instrumental in the building of the new sanctuary for Lawndale Baptist Church. His many friends in Greensboro and at Lawndale, as well as his bicycling buddies, will miss him but we know he's in a better place.

Love and prayers to all of the family. Always loved Richard when we were growing up. He was so good to all of his little cousins.

I had the privilege and opportunity of working for Mr. Evans beginning in 1993 until his retirement. There are no words to express the kindness and generosity this man had for his employees. We were family. I thank you family for sharing such an amazing man, he truly loved you. God has truly gained an angel. Fly high Mr. Evans and thank you for being such a influence in my life when I needed it the most. You were an amazing asset to this world. You will be missed...God speed!
