Not sure what to say?

Joan and family, General Evans , was a wonderful person from Lieutenant all the way up to being a General Officer. I served under him as a Private as well as a Sergeant and Lieutenant in the National Guard. I later went Regular Army and we met up twice again, once at Ft. McClellan, AL and again at Carlisle Barracks, PA. Once long before that my wife and I had spent a day at the camp with the family and had a wonderful time. It has been a while of many years since we talked but I will never...

Dear Joan and boys I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dick. Although so many years have past since we were neighbors on Garfield St, I still have so many fond memories of your family. I know Dick will be missed but I truly hope all the wonderful memories will help you through your grief. You are in my prayers.

Had a very good work ethic.

My sincere sympathy to the entire Evans family. It was a honor to work for Dick and to be called a friend. God has a plan, we just don't know the date or time. I will always treasure the memories. Thank you for your service to our country and the person that you were. God just drafted one of our finest.

I had the pleasure of working for and with him for several years. During those years he displayed all of the traits mentioned in his obituary. A good, strong man is gone. RIP Dick

Tim had been talking about his family for sometime and he was also telling his father about his friends that came up to stay at their family camp. First words out of my mouth were my gosh you do exist, Dick did not miss a beat and responded, my God you do exist. It was a great laugh. He will be missed by a very...
