Not sure what to say?

Rita and the Ewing family have my sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy for the loss of Richard. Both of you were special friends during our years together in The University of Texas Longhorn Band.

Dear Rita,

I was so looking forward to re-acquainting with Dick, who was my friend for a couple of weeks when I visited his family in Wichita Falls as a teenager, this summer. Please accept my deep sympathy extended to you and your children at this difficult time.

Rita,
I offer my deepest sympathy for your loss. I have cherished my memories of Dick and harbored a great respect for his intellect over many years.

Dear Rita

Words cannot express my sorrow for you and your family. I think back on all of the stories you told throughout school and I remember how they were told with such love. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and if there is anything you need or want just call.

My deepest sympathy to all the Ewing family, and especially to Rita. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

"My cousin Dick - he's an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow!" My sisters and I were so impressed! I'm grateful that we had him in our lives, I know that my Daddy was glad to know him. Being math geeks, Daddy and Dick spoke the same language and Mama loved him and you, Rita, dearly. They had such fun during the brief time y'all lived in Lubbock. Julia Shurbet Sandlin

A scholar, a gentleman, and a great friend. I enjoyed my time working with Dick and I am saddened by his death. We are all deminished by his passing.

Dear Rita,

I am so saddened. I wish you and your family the deepest comfort. I worked with Dick shortly after your family moved to College Station. Dick has been an inspiration to me over the years. I hope you draw some comfort in knowing how Dick has been loved by those around him.

Dear Rita, John, Larry, and Brad,
My heart is breaking with the news of your terrible loss. Some of the happiest times at the Shurbet home were when the Ewings were living in Lubbock. We love you, Nancy Shurbet Krebbs
