Not sure what to say?

Dear Dick (a k.a. my Boss): Not a day passes without a reminder of your strong presence and great heart. I do not claim to be religious but I cannot fathom a world without any of us who knew you holding you in our hearts and memories. That is a worldwide circle, when one thinks of it . As long asball who loved and admired you are still living, and as your continuing family for generations yet to come retells your life and great accomplishments, you are still here with them in spirit. And...

As a graduate student in psychology and resident of La Jolla, I admired Dick for his leadership in humanistic leadership and organizational psychology based on human principles. I often visited with Carl Rogers at CSP after he left WBSI and he always had praise for Dr Farson's contributions. I miss that 1970-1980s era of peace and hopefullness.

My apologies for this late entry .. and my condolences to Richard's family. I had the pleasure of meeting with Richard in La Jolla in the early 80's - he was genuinely 'human' and very compassionate/passionate about life and the environments (design) that support life. He was uniquely inquisitive and lived a 360 degree life. He inspired me in my professional career, and I am very grateful.

The Power of Design inspired and influenced my work a lot. Grateful for that I leave my best wishes to all who remember him and his work.

Rest in peace and power, youth liberationist forefather. May you look down on the work I do in your stead with pride and may it bring us both honor. <3

The face of a woman whose life was changed by Richard Farson's work.

Reading Richard Farson's Birthrights in 2011 changed the trajectory of my life. Reading this book inspired me to commit myself to the project of liberation for young people for the rest of my life. In the fall I will begin a Ph.D program at the University of Maryland in Philosophy. I was admitted there with the understanding that my primary research interest would be youth liberation. I am also currently at work on a book project of my own which draws heavily on Farson's work to make the case...

It is comforting to read of others' love and at admiration for him. I had known Richard Farson about 10 or 15 years ago, and he was truly a great thinker, a man with a contagious and wonderful sense of humor, and a person with a true zest for life.

He was a real renaissance man. He made contributions in so many areas.

I was saddened to learn of his death, but the world is a better place I am sure because he has lived.

Sincerely,

Scott Wimer

I truly sorry for this loss. My sincere condolences to family, friends, colleagues and students.

Dr. Farson changed the way I relate to the world through my profession. Becoming a "Metadesigner" has being one of the most challenging and rewarding journey of my life. He'll be remembered and admired for many, many years to come.

Dear friends and family of Richard Farson, Here on Nov 12, 2017 evening I just learned the hard way (on line, obituary) my dear friend, former WBSI boss had passed on in June! I've tried to call him up
for months and as he had no message service at Casa de Manana I just figured he was out. I left messages for Dawn Farson. I have always worked for him in some capacity since late 1980. He was not only an innovative thinker and contributor to world peace, he had such a great heart. And now...
