We had the good fortune of meeting Carol and Dick shortly after their arrival in Salt Lake City at a dinner hosted by Dr. Anne Osborne and her late husband Ronald Poelman. The Fays welcomed us warmly into their circle of friends and celebrated with us as we observed graduations, missionary farewells, and weddings. They included us in S.A.G.E. I had the utmost admiration for Dick, a gentleman so kind and well respected all the way up to his final days. He always greeted me with a smile and it was a gift for me to see what a true, long & loving marriage looks like first hand. His wife, Carol always put Dick first and Dick always put Carol first.
