Someone told me a long time ago, if you pass away during the Lenten season, you go straight to Heaven. Richard attended Mass with my sister Joan every week. I know he is in Heaven with Joan, now.

My thoughts are with the family in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort doing these difficult days. (Psalms 9:9,10)

My brother Neil just called me to tell me the sad news. Repeated tries over the past 8 years to contact him were a failure, but I did at least write him cards and the occasional letter. I wish his last years had been full of better health and joy, but I know he prized his family very much. Hugs to all of you, he was indeed a friend of many years.
