When we were growing up in Ohio, Rick, my eldest cousin, seemed to be a force of nature. Articulate, precise, smart, and feisty, he was a little awe-inspiring. You wanted him on your side. I'm sorry we didn't forge many memories as adults. My best to those he loved and who loved him.

Remembering 46 years of hanging out: the great conversations, laughs, “spirited debates”, and generous hospitality was so consistently but only part of you.

I met Rick and Avril on Kiawah and we maintained a friendship over many years. Rick always invited me to golf with the Friday Walkers..I think he enjoyed having a woman show up and always told me it was a "Walkers Group" not a "Mens Group." Our fondest memory will always me the first time Luke visited Kiawah with me and we stayed with Rick and Avril. Luke commented, "This is nicer than the Ritz Carlton!" after our midnight arrival with cold beer, sandwiches and a bottle of scotch waiting for...

Rick and Avril have been good friends for over 40 years. Rick and I started our careers with General Foods in Kankakee, IL. Our two family's moved to Connecticut were we shared many a party and holiday together. We celebrated Christmas together and our kids would look forward for their visits.

Rick, Avril, Ann and I had many spirited debates with none of us afraid to vividly express our opinions.

Rick was a much better golfer than I and was always willing to help me improve...
