RICHARD J. FIEDLER M.D.

Rich was a good friend and neighbor. He was a Norte Dame football fan and we would have friendly wagers. He was also a Chicago Bears fan and when we were neighbors on Huron St. in Black Hawk manor Bears home games would be blacked out but he could rotate his tv antenna to pick the broadcast from Rockford. When he moved away we continued to stay in touch as we had ongoing bets on Norte Dame football. Our wager was always a dollar which if I lost I would payoff using a Disney dollar or...

Dr Fiedler saved my life back in 1983 when after I was diagnosed with stage 4 Embryonic Carcinoma. Through his loving care he and the head oncology nurse at Sherman Hospital Dorthy--I can't recall her last name--got me through three long months of intense week long sessions and one dose of
bleomycin chemotherapy once per week in between my week long sessions.

It has been 37 years and in that time I had to have a modified radical mastectomy which happened to be 20 years...

I am so sorry for your loss, as I did not know that Rich had passed. He was a great physician, a wonderful person, an exceptional human being and a good friend. He took care of my family for years until his retirement. Few human beings affect the masses with such knowledge, grace and compassion for all. I will miss him.

He was the most compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable physician I have ever known. So sad to hear of his passing and will keep him in my prayers.

To all the Fiedler family...I only just became aware of Rich's passing in January and want to add Larry and my condolences on a sad loss for all who knew Rich Fiedler. He was a good Doctor, a good friend and a good M. F. neighbor. Prayers for all of you.

My deepest sympathy in your loss. Rich was such a sweet gentleman, and a joy to have in the volunteer ushering corps. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to know him.

Dr. John Fiedler I am sorry for the loss of your father. I can only say that I am sure he is very proud that you carry on his work. He will always be in your heart when you need him.
