Richard David Fogel, 48, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025. Richie is the son of Richard and Susan (nee Poplasky) Fogel and was born on October 7, 1976, in Bethlehem. Richie was an industrial painter and a journeyman for Union 211/ DC 21 of Philadelphia, PA. He was employed by GC Zarnas Co. for many years, and a member of the International Union of Painters for many years. He loved watching the New England Patriots and was a big Tom Brady fan. He also enjoyed Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. race in NASCAR. Richie will be remembered for his thoughtfulness and compassion towards others and his quirky sense of humor.
He was a member of the Roosevelt Democratic Club and many other clubs and organizations throughout his life. Richie graduated from Freedom High School in 1994 and went on to receive an associate’s degree in business from Johnson and Wales University in 1996.
Richie is fondly remembered by his parents Richard R. and Susan Fogel; siblings Christina L. Haynes of Bethlehem and Damon M. (Minh) Fogel of Jonestown, TX; Uncle William (Marsha) Fogel, Aunt Julie Mostek; partner Beverly Kemp; nephews Patrick and Charles Alercia; nieces Kameron and Keira Fogel; other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents: Helen and Edward Poplasky; Sarah Brugger and Richard C. Fogel; Uncle Lester (Rosalyn) Clore; and Uncle Gary Mostek.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation period from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street – Hellertown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, 1817 1st St, Bethlehem. All other services will take place privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Richie’s name to Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 3337, Bethlehem, PA 18017-0337.
