Richard J. Frankel Jr.

Richard J. Frankel Jr., 78, formerly of Edwardsburg, MI died Thursday January 13, 2011. He was born in Mishawaka on August 16, 1932 to Richard J. & Christine (Nyers) Frankel Sr. who preceded him in death. Richard graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1951. He received his BPE & MPE from Purdue University. He taught Social Studies at Western School Corp. in Kokomo for thirty-years. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the South Bend VFW Post #1167. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Richard was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Edwardsburg. Friends may visit with the family today from 4-8 p.m. at Bubb Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday with visitation one hour prior.
