Richard was born in Winter Garden, Florida on September 16, 1959. He married Joyce Skinner on October 4, 2001 in Flint. Surviving are wife, Joyce; daughters, Kylie and Claire; parents, Ervin and Maxine of Russellville, Alabama; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; several nieces and nephews.
