I only knew Dick for just a year or two when we worked in the stock room for S@H Green Stamps back in the mid-'50s on the sixth floor of Wurzburgs (the old Herpolsheimers) on Monroe. From our windows, we had an excellent view of the old union station on Iona. Any chance he got, breaks, lunch hours, etc., he would be at those windows checking out the trains' arrivals and departures. He knew exactly when those times were...
