Not sure what to say?

Richard was involved with the farm worker/immigrant solidarity group YAYA for a long time, when he was living in Orlando. He had a really positive attitude and always made us laugh. We will miss him dearly and will always remember him. I am very honored to have met him and grateful for everything he did to make this a better world.

In North Carolina organizing for farmworker justice

I was very glad to know Rich when he was active with the group Yaya. We went on trips to North Carolina and to Detroit. I was honored to know the guy and am Ithankful to whatever role his family played in making him such a kind person. Rich was missed after he left the Orlando community and his departure from this earth will be felt by many; I am sure of this. Wish I would have dropped him one last line before he passed away. My respects and gratitude to his family.

Desiree, Rio, and Katie, We were shocked to hear of Richard's passing and are deeply sorry for your loss. Jody and I remember watching Richard run around his Uncle Dick and Aunt Marlene's yard at a family reunion many moons ago. He was so happy and wonderful and full of life. You are in our prayers.

Desiree & Rio, We are so sorry to read of Richard's death. Our love and prayers are with you in the days ahead, as well as with Katie. Always remember the good times shared. We love you. Uncle Richard & Aunt Marlene

Rich was truly a creative and memorable friend. I knew him all through college and still remember the day we met. He always made his own path and was more comfortable in his own skin then anyone I've ever known. When I think back to our years spent in school together, even during this emotionally trying time, I still find myself smiling. That's the type of guy he was. The type that gives you memories that you will hold onto forever.

I am very stunned to hear this news. I still cannot believe that he died so unexpectedly. We will miss Rich, and we will cherish all the happy memories we had with him. Rich is a happy man and a good friend. I will miss him. May rest in peace.

Rich was a great friend of mine out at UCF. I didn't speak to him as often as I'd have liked to in the past couple years, but he has remained and will continue to remain one of the most creative, inspiring, unique, and beautiful people I've had the fortune of having in my life. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.
