Not sure what to say?

Rick, I just came across this while I was looking for something else. It´s no wonder you are always posting things about your wonderful parents!! It really seems like you had the such a great childhood and beyond! And why you turned out like you did. Also your daughter is who she is can be claimed by your parenting. And while "empty nest" stings right now, she will eventually realize "why" she is who she is. All going back to you parents.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Knew Dick from CCHS and thought very highly of him.
Our prayers are with him and your family.
Sincerely, Carol and George Zilba

To the entire Garand Family, I'm so sorry we can't be with you today, as we were for Darlene, but our hearts & prayers are with all of you. So many memories the last few days from our years growing up as neighbors on "Big Ditch" Rd., fellow parishioners at St. Ignatius & finally, the fun years in Oregon Community Theatre. I know what it's like to lose two loved ones so close together so my prayer is that you will finally be comforted by the knowledge they are together again with God in...

It is a beautiful thought to know that your parents are together again, Rick. Thinking of you.

Richard was one of the few people I have known who really got it right. He was always jovial, and lived every day to its fullest. People say happiness is about how you react to situations that present themselves, not about avoiding misfortune. Richard was forever bringing his own brand of sunshine into all the lives around him. Congratulations on a life well lived.

My thoughts & prayers are with each family member. It has been a long time since I have seen any of the Garand family and my sister, Melva, used to tell me many good stories. God is looking after all of you as He has been.

We pray to God to continue to bless the family and friends of Richard Garand. We must also celebrate the life and cherish the memories of this great man!

I'm not surprised that Dick went so soon after Darlene! They were the perfect couple and I will always remember them fondly for giving me my start in Community Theater through the "Little Known Players".

So sorry for the great loss to all his friends and family. I have more respect and love for this man than any other man I have ever known.
