Richard Garretson

On behalf of the Women's Committee of The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, I would like to offer our condolences to Mr. Garretson's family on his passing. As a retired employee of the Museum and a member of the Women's Committee, I had known Dick for years through his lovely wife, Prue. He was a true gentleman

Dick Garretson was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He was a complete gentleman and pleasant person to work with. He will be missed by many who where lucky to have him in their lives.

One of my first interviews at Society National Bank in 1967 was with Dick Garretson as he headed up the commercial lending division. Bob Gillespie and I began our Society careers around the same time. Bob remained under Dick's tutelage (and did very well for himself) as I went on to retail small business lending and branches under John Henninger.(no regrets) I will remember Mr. Garretson well for his expertise in banking and his willingness to coach.
