Richard H. Gault, age 77, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at his home, following a lingering illness. He was born February 17, 1932 in Clyde, Michigan, the son of the late Raymond & Merle (Boyer) Gault. Dick attended several schools growing up, due to his father's railroad advances, graduating from Saginaw High School in 1950. After his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Steering Gear, retiring in 1986 after thirty-seven years of service. Dick was united in marriage with the former Mary Helen Mittlestat on January 21, 1956 in Cass City. They moved to the Caro area to live in August of 1965. Dick was a Life Member of the Caro VFW Post #4164. He had a variety of interests and hobbies, that included working on the Polar Express Steam Engine in Owosso, model train sets, listening to all kinds of music, playing a variety of musical instruments, all by ear, playing golf with his friends, and first and foremost, being with his family that he loved dearly.
