I worked on Rich's congressional campaign in 1970 in various capacities: research, speech writing, press, etc. Though we lost the race, it was one of the best political experiences of my life, and Rich was one of the best candidates I've ever worked for. Please find reassurance in the scriptures recorded in the bible at Matthew 5:4.. "Happy are those who mourn since they will be comforted".

I'm shocked and so saddened. Rich was an inspiration to me. I feel so privileged to have known him and some of his lovely family. My heart goes out to all of you. Rich will be sorely missed by so many. He left you all a gift to keep and knowing what I did of him, it was a good one. Hugs to you all.
