Not sure what to say?

What can I say that hasn't already been said. I had the pleasure of both working with and being a patient of Dr. Gerstner. So many stories I could tell and when I think of him it always makes me smile. How wonderful to live your life so when someone thinks of you they smile. One of my favorite people in the whole world! My condolences to his family

Sincere symapthies to the entire family with the passing of Doc. We have many fond memories of this terrific man as a neighbor in Manistee for the last 25 years. Doc was always willing to give us a helping hand in any project - time and again. RIP Doc - you will be missed at your beloved northern MI home.

I was sorry to hear about Dick's passing. Dick was a great friend and mentor. He was a compassionate and generous person. He had a great sense of humor I can still remember his contagious laugh. It's been an honor to know him. My thoughts and sympathy to Betty and their family for their great loss

Who but Dr.Richard M.Gerstner would, at the birth of my first daughter, tell me to: "look at this placenta. It is beautiful!"

I loved this caring and talented man.

Today I heard, with great surprise and sadness of Dr. Gerstner's passing. As has been said in all of the previous notes about him, he was humorous, kind, and very bright. I had the great privilege of working with him, just prior to his retirement and found him a most enlightened person. We are all the better for knowing this man- and I'm just sorry I didn't live in his neighborhood!

My deepest heart-felt condolences to the Gerstner Family.

For 45 years, from the very first day to the last day, I was in a Physician/Patient experience of a life time.

Back in the fall of 1961, I was sitting on an examining table when Dr. Gerstner walked in, introduced himself and added that I was his first patient. I gather I had a very concerned expression on my face, because immediately I was told, the first patient in Kalamazoo, and that he and his wife had just moved from...

I just loved Dr. Gerstner. He delivered me 54 years ago and then he delivered MY daughter 31 years ago. He was truly a wonderful man and Doctor. My sympathies go out to his entire family. Please know he will terribly missed by all those lives that he has touched all these years.

What a wonderful and funny doctor. I just loved Dr. Gerstner. Saw him last 50 some years ago when our last baby was born and to this day will never forget the humorous comments he made. My sympathies to the family. We all share a great loss.

Dr. Gerstner was my OB/Gyn for years, and I just loved him! It makes all the difference in the world when you have a kind, considerate and caring man who loved babies excited about helping bring a new life into the world. I was so sad when he retired. I'm sad to hear of his passing, and I know he will be terribly missed.
