Richard E. “Dick” Goodnight, 80 of Paxton, died at 10:35 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.
Richard was born April 28, 1941 in Wells County, Indiana the son of Herman E. and Floren Fouch Goodnight. He married Alice A. Crain January 14, 1962 at the Church of God, Idaville, Indiana. She survives.
Along with his wife, Alice, he is survived by his children, Nancy (Brandon) Eidson of Loda, Jenny (Steve) Bradley of Arizona, Eugenia (Jay) Barram of Kentucky, Rita (Danny) Eidson of Loda, Rick Goodnight of Paxton; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; four sisters and his favorite dog, Kristy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters.
Dick was a truck driver and retired from DWT&E of Rantoul. He was a member of the Paxton Church of Christ.
He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his grandchildren.
