Not sure what to say?

Dear Patti, Erica and Chelsea,
We just saw the notice today - January 23rd and are at a loss for words. David and I loved Dick like a brother, and cherished our brief meetings with him when we were in Buffalo visiting with David's family. He was a great, great friend for many years, and we will truly miss him. Please contact us. With much love, your friends, Dave and Mary Chaba, West Covina, CA

Patti and family...I am saddened to hear of Dick's passing. My mom (Pat Burch) worked with him for over 25 yrs and I would see him when I was at the station as I grew up. I am proud to say that I got to know him as an adult too and he was truely a good man. I played (and lost) in several of the same St Gabriel's golf tournaments that Dick played in. I also bowled on the same league for several years and always looked forward to bowling Dick's team. He was a great competitor and was gracious...

Dear Erica, Chelsea, and Mrs. Graff:

My deepest sympathies in the passing of your father/husband. He was always such a kind, friendly, and loving person.

Erica, the number of times when we used to go places growing up and I'd come pick you up, your Dad always made me feel welcome in your home, whether it be watching a Sabres game, a Bills game, or just talking about golf. That will be my fondest memory of him -- his kind heart. He was always the kindest of men and I know that...

Chelsea and family,
I am so sorry to hear about your father. He was a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Erica and Family:

I am very sorry to hear about your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Patti & daughters, it is with a heavy heart that I sign Dick's book as I have worked at the WSPD with Dick since I started in 1980. Dick was a wonderful person, so full of life and so kind. He always had time to stop and chat, be it about work or his family or what was going on in your life. After every vacation, he was the first to share his photos with us and everytime the girls did anything that he took their picture, he shared. I don't believe anyone disliked Dick, he was just that...

Dear Patti and family, Our deepest sympathy to you and your girls. I will always have fond memories of the Bills games with Dick and his Dad. Our thought and prayers are with you. Love Uncle Dave and Carol Grogan Athens, Tenn.

Dear Patti, Erica, and Chelsea,

We were so sorry to hear of Dick's death. You have been in our prayers and thoughts. He fought hard and is now at peace. God be with all of you.
