RICHARD C. GREEN

1937 - 2015

GREEN, Richard C. Age 77, of Acushnet died at 1:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Highlander Rehab Center in Fall River, MA. He was born in St. Louis, MO on Nov. 20, 1937 to Cora Ford and Richard Green who predeceased him. He leaves behind his wife, Mary R. Duggan-Green and two sons, Mark of Carson City, CA and Todd B. and his wife Ligaya of Temecula, CA; two grandsons, Todd of Temecula, CA and Eric who is currently teaching in Japan. The love of his life was his great-grandson, Christian of Temecula, CA. He also leaves his sister-in-law Anne Marie Duggan of Leominster, MA along with many friends and good neighbors. He was a veteran who proudly served in The United States Army. He also briefly served in the Merchant Marines. Rick retired from Polaroid Corporation in 1995, and then worked at various golf courses in the area to keep busy. Rick was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the 918 Golf Club. He loved fly fishing and his koi pond, along with his beautiful garden. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care given to him by the Hawthorn Kidney Center and the Highlander Rehab Center, with special thanks to Dr. Eid, Dr. Douglas and Dr. Phillips. Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062. His Funeral will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., NEW BEDFORD.
