Richard K. Greenough

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by. Dick and Vivian were great friends of my parents, Ray and Joan Searfoss. Dick had introduced my Father to my Mother for the first time while he was stationed in Albany during World War II. Dick and Viv were guests in our house many times. Dick always had a wonderful sense of humor and a positive attitude. He always had a lot of jokes and stories to tell. I really miss him!

It's hard to believe that a year ago you left us Uncle Richard. I fondly remember your mischievous smile, your stories of growing up in Burlington, the life you shared with my dad with all the trouble you two got into and the many years of memories shared between you and Aunt Viv.

I miss the trips to Albany, your sweet home on Joelson Ct, the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves in the big tree out front as we sat on the porch and waved to the people passing by.

Dick lived a long and good life. He and Viv were Bill's and my friends for 60 years. We had many good times together enjoying the University Club, the Post in Delmar and dinner parties with the Reohr's and Spain's. A game of bocce ball was a must.

Many thanks to all who remembered Richard with cards and good words.

His was a life well lived and those who knew him are better for the friendship.

I was glad to be a part of his life at the last part of his journey and his family and friends are grateful to the staff at OLOM especially Sister Marianne.

Dick was a favorite neighbor of ours when we lived on Joelson Court several years ago. Although we will miss him, he will be remembered for what he was: a very warm and thoughtful person. We are fortunate to have known him, and for that we are thankful. God bless you, Dick.

You are at peace now, sharing memories with your parents, Viv, Gene, and the many friends who went before you. We are all sad here, but we know you are much happier and healthier. Thank you for letting me be part of your life for the last 4 and a half years. Until we meet again......Ed

Richard was a true and gracious gentleman. I will miss his compliments as well as his jokes. I am saddened not for him, he is now at peace, but for all of us who will miss him.
