Rich was a friend throughout early schooling in Ridgewood, New Jersey. We often walked together to high school on many cold mornings. I well remember Rich's love of folk music and his Martin. While we did communicate in recent years, I had not seen him since high school. In all of his well years, Rich would do a daily jog around the lake near his home. It seemed fitting that I have a tree planted in his memory, since when he returned, his comments were about the beauty of the trees.
