We enjoyed knowing the Greulichs early on in our lives. I worked at the National Bank and Harrison and Austin Securities was in the same building. Dick and I played gin rummy at our lunch time and he clobbered me over and over. I bought him many meals during that stretch. I first worked for him when he managed a station while he continued his education and knew first hand his honesty and integrity that he possessed throughout his life. Our hearts are heavy, as we feel the loss of such a wonderful man, and good friend, Dick.
As you know, Dick and I were born on the same day of the same year, and had an almost twin brother relationship for the 26 years we lived in South Bend. I learned a lot from Dick, especially on the tennis court, and from his upbeat personality.
