Not sure what to say?

It was my pleasure to know Dick, what a fine gentleman he was. We shared many talks, laughs & a few tears. We became friends as soon as we met and I truly miss him. My love & prayers to his family, thank you for sharing your dad with me. Now you can sing Dick, sing you heart out. ;))

I was saddened to hear of the passing of your father. He will be missed by our whole neighborhood. My thoughts are with you and your family as you adjust to his absense.

As a fellow Kiwanian, I was always touched by Dick Gromen's gentle, thoughtful ways. He was a doer as well as a thinker. He loved his wife dearly and it was a pleasure to be in their company. He was non-judgmental and always a gentleman. He leaves a wonderful footprint for us to follow.

Dick was a good scholar, a reasonable man and a pleasant host of social activities. I'm sorry he's gone.

Remembering this kind and gentle man with smiles and warm feelings in our hearts! What a bright light in our community! We will miss you, dear friend! To Margot, Doreen, Richard, and families...you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened this morning to hear that Dr. Dick Gromen passed away this week. A professor at Edinboro University, Dr. Gromen was a pivotal force in my conversion from a non-academic into a college graduate who earned a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. His mentorship during my somewhat frustrating freshman year was the firm ground on which I stood. God's speed Dr. G.

Farewell Black Jack (memories from Case Western). It was a pleasure to know you!

Dr. Gromen was a very principled, honest, and hospitable man. I fondly recall the Edinboro St. Patrick's Day parties and many other happy times at the Gromen home. Everyone felt welcomed. He was an excellent role model and father. My thoughts and prayers are with Margot, Doreen, Rick and their families.
