Richie was a Lifetime Member of the Society of the 1st Infantry Division and the1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry (Quarterhorse) Association.
I was fortunate to have been Richie’s Troop Commander during many battles in
Vietnam from March 1968 until my departure in September 1968. He was the Troop Armorer, an
ACAV Commander and a Tank Commander. Richie was indispensable in the victories we
achieved. A true patriot and hero.
