Dick will be missed by not only his family and friends, but the entire community lost a true Mayville backer.
The obituary cannot tell the full measure of this dedicated, humble, and generous man.
He has "run the race" and earned his "Crown".
May God grant Anne and the family comfort knowing he is at home and at peace.

Dick was a honerary Veteran,I thank him for his service. Also a life long friend to our family. Dick was always there to help anyone. He will be missed.My sympathy to the family at this time.

My condolences to the family in your time of sorrow. I was in the 6th grade when he came to teach at the Huilsburg school. We moved from the farm there into Iron Ridge. Richard (Mr. Guse) picked me up in Iron Ridge every day so that I could finish out my school year at Huilsburg. We met again at the Huilsburg School Reunion that was held at Liskow's tavern for anyone that had attended the school over the years.
