What a great guy knew him as a young child and teen. Always on the move. He lived a full life.

MR, heavy on the MR Gutierrez. You were a great PO and I miss you. Rick was a huge role model from the time I was 12 till he attended my wedding in lake tahoe 10 years later.

Renee, I am so sorry to hear about your brother Rick. I remember him as such a gentle soul and a great all around kind of guy. Such a hard thing to endure, remember your childhood memories as nobody else can. I hope that can and will bring you peace in the days ahead. God bless and may peace be with you.....

Renee,
I am sorry to hear of our loss. Rick and I go back nearly 60 years. Many memories of our youth. A lot of mischief was tossed in. Pitching pennys, sling shots, dirt clod fights, hiding from our parents in the vacant lot, teasing the "twins", winning the bronze horse statues at the King City Fair. I will always remember this great guy. Many, many good memories and bonding at such an early age. We will all miss him. Peace to you, love ya, Rob

Renee,,
I am so sorry for your loss - much too soon. I have fond memories of my days in Soledad and Rick was a childhood friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family.

Although Rick was a few years younger than me, I remember him as one of the "Scatinni kids" as we are referred to. We were neighbors in Soledad and played baseball in the same vacant lots on Soledad Street. A lot of memories from those days. I hadn't seen Rick for years, but it sounds like he enjoyed a full and cherished life. He will be missed by all.

Renee, This is so sad. Nothing good except that your mother doesn't have to endure it. I am sorry for both your losses. Ricky and i were involved in awesome mischief around the old neighborhood. I remember cooking hot dogs over a campfire with our dads. Later I remember some of the fires that scared the hell out of us without our dads. I remember the crappie fishing competition at Lake Nacimiento, white rat pets, riding bikes beyond set boundaries, fort building, and how to duck...

Rick you're truly a men of men. Your approach on life and fighting spirit will always be something that I will remember and love about YOU. It was an honor and a privilege to call you my friend and naturally I will miss my friend. It gives me solace to know that you're in a better place watching over us and even having a chuckle or two watching us navigate through this world without you. Thank you Rick for the memories and good times, until we meet again forever your friend Tim/Coach........
