I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Halbert's passing. He was always a person who loved to make people laugh. I know that both he and my father are in God's hands and they are picking at each other as we speak. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Nancy, Vicki, and Richard,
Of course you know that we all loved "Big Richard" very much. I never spoke to him for more than 5 min. before he had me laughing. I will never forget helping him paint the River Cottage when I was a young boy. He was a kind, gentle, loving man and I rarely heard him speak poorly of anyone...accept UVA during a Tech game. We will all miss him very much but I am sure he is in a better place now.

Dear Nancy & family,
We were so sad to learn of Richard's passing.
He was truly a wonderful person. He helped us out so much when we lived on James. If ever we needed help around the house, he was there in no time. My mother felt so blessed to have him as her lawn guy!
He will be so missed by so many.
