Not sure what to say?

Thinking about you Grumpa! Missing you more than you can imagine! Your 9th great grandchild is due any day now and I know that you would have LOVED all of them so much! They all know you well as we continue to share stories about how funny, charming, organized, athletic, positive, and adorable (to name a few) you were! Wishing you a Happy Heavenly birthday tomorrow (7-21-22) as with 9 great grandchildren, you will have been gone 9 years! We miss you so very much! Love, your 2nd...

Coach Halvorsen had a great influence on my life; I have thought about him many hundreds of times over the years since high school even though I haven't seen him since 1964. I played basketball for him in my Junior and Senior HS years at Campbell High in the 1963 and 1964 seasons, so I spent many hours with him during those two years even in the gym in the off seasons. At Campbell HS from 1962 to 1964, his teams must have won at least 80% of their games; note that he coached 6 different...

Mr Halvorsen was a great Geography teacher. I learned a lot from him.

I remember Mr. Halvorsen well, with his twinkly eyes and kind manner. And he was a really good teacher.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. These times are hard.

Another giant has left us. We so very much admired Dick for the exemplary human being that he was. Of course, as so many have said, he was kind, loving, respectful, calm, quiet, and witty. We had the great privilege of working with him and golfing with him at our tournament and independently. Obviously, judging by former student and player comments and personal observation, Dick was a superior teacher/coach. We were the better for having known him. Condolences to Jill and his family.

Mrs. Halvorsen, Kris, Suki and Jody, It's been years since I've seen Mr. Halvorsen, but remember his infectious smile like it was yesterday. He was the dearest among men. I can't imagine how much you must miss him. I have so many fond memories of times with your family growing up. The Lord richly bless you all; I am praying for you.

Silly Grumpa, always posing for pictures!

Grumpa. My heart cries that his physical presence is not longer with us on this earth. However, my heart rejoices in the freedom he is experiencing with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God blessed Grumps with a huge heart for people. Clearly, by reading these posts, we can see some of the many lives he touched everyday. I am so blessed to look up to such a remarkable man. He taught me to shoot a flawless free throw, encouraged my sense of humor, and showed me how to unconditionally love...
