Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of the passing of our neighbor Richard.I will miss seeing you taking walks in our neighborhood.Dick would always stop and talk when he seen me and always had a kind word.May God heal your broken heart during this difficult time.

I will always remember Pastor Halvorsen for his kindness and his capability to share difficult stories and lessons with compassion. This quote makes me think of him. "Love is not written on paper, for paper can be erased. Nor is it etched in stone for stone can be broken. But it is inscribed on a Heart and there it shall remain forever". Rumi

Fond memories of his smile and our coversations whenever he would visit Arizona or when talking through e mail. Also some fun trips to see him in Wisconsin and California long ago. Thank you for your service to our country and to our Lord.

The Buddhist believes that you should light a candle for 3 days to make the transition peacefully. I lit that candle, but I felt I should light this candle in honor of the Man, Husband,Father, and brother, and servant.

Dear Aunt Barb & Family,

Sending love, comfort and strength with heartfelt sympathy at this difficult time.

Over 20 years ago Uncle Dick looked me right in the eyes and said "you are a kind soul"... it touched me and I've carried those kind words with me ever since. I will always remember him as my brave uncle that loved God and his entire family with his entire being. What kindness he has shown all of Us.

Love is the answer.

What a great life he lived! Praise be to God!

May My Uncle rest in peace. He was a great Man who gave more to this world than he took. I will miss my phone chats with him always teaching me without feeling like he was judging me.

Dear Barb and Family:
Ken and I would like to offer our deepest sympathy to you on the passing of your beloved husband. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by many. My fondest memories of Dick go back many decades to when the Halvorsen's lived on Kimball Avenue in Chicago. As young teenagers we all spent many hours just sitting as a group in the living room and all just talking about anything and everything, most of the time he did dominate the...
