Mr. Hamilton was my 8th grade science teacher at Ogden Middle School. It was Mr. Hamilton who inspired me to become a science teacher. He had a passion for what he taught and it came through in his lessons and labs. I will always remember the spectroscope lab. Hello, My name is Claudia Hein and I had the pleasure of working with Dick for a number of years at Ogden middle school. I very much admired him; he was unassuming, and a person who truly made a difference. Love to the family, Claudia

I was privileged to teach with Dick for several years. We also rode our bikes together in the Bridge Pedal in Portland (though I couldn't get him to ride the STP (Seattle to Portland with m). We had a number of things in common and enjoyed many laughs together. Although we haven't connected much in the past few years (occasional phone call), I still consider him a good friend and will miss talking (and riding) with him. RIP my friend!
