Richard Hansler

I regret that I only today learned of Dick's passing, when I did a web search for him. Dr. Hansler was a friend and mentor to me when I worked at GE Lighting and then as an independent contractor/consultant with his Lighting Innovations team. Regrettably we lost touch when I left the area. He was a kind, compassionate and gifted human being. The world is a better place thanks to his presence.

What a guy!

Dick was a warm, loving, brilliant man who was an exemplary partner, friend and art lover to Wanda. When he walked into a room, you had to smile. A definite contributor to our community and our earth.

While we never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Hansler, we know through stories our daughter Emma heard from Leah how proud his family was of him and his many accomplishments. If the moral arc of the universe bends towards justice, it is only because of the lives lived by men such as Dr. Hansler. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Hansler was one of the greatest and smartest gentlemen I have ever met. He was one of the best bosses and I have ever worked for and with.

I have never personally met Mr. Hansler. But, our mutual friend, Gary introduced me to Mr. Hansler's research and his books. I own all of his books focusing on blue light and its effects on health and sleep. He will be missed. He was a brilliant, caring human.
