Not sure what to say?

Condolences to his loved ones. I was looking him up to see if he was still in practice and saw this instead. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Harris. He delivered me (44 years old) and 1 of my brothers. He also delivered 1 of my girls and was my OBGyn for both (my youngest decided to come early while he and his family were on vacation)... I was terrified with my first daughter and he always made me feel better. She was my first ever surgery (c-section) and I broke when he told me. He...

Dr Harris was more than just a Dr. he was a friend. He always had time to listen to his patients. He actually did my and my fiancee's blood tests when we got married. He took care of me when I had endometriosis. He operated on me and treated me for 4 years. After which I asked for a hysterectomy. Dr. Harris did me a great service, 1 week before my 30th birthday still the best birthday gift ever. He was the best Dr. and person I ever met. He genuinely cared for his patients and for that...

So sorry to see this ... just was looking him up to see where he was now. He delivered my first born (son) and was an awesome doctor, always so friendly.

I am just learning this sad news. My sincere condolences to Ellen. Richard touched so many lives. He was a joy to work with and I can still hear his laugh! Prayers to his family

Dr. Harris was an excellent MD. I thought very highly of him. He delivered my 3 children, and saved my life in 1989. My condolences to his family and friends.

Dr Harris delivered me (32 years and counting!), Mom has never stopped talking about him. So thankful for the special life that he dedicated to others, and provided so many of us with the best gift; a healthy-safe birth, and amazing care to our mothers. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Sending my condolences.

This man welcomed me into the world almost exactly 25 years ago! Both my mom and aunt saw him during their pregnancies. Both had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Things like how he seemed to truly listen to his patients and made them feel respected. May he rest in peace and bliss.

My sincere condolences and prayers to the family of Dr Harris. I was prob among his first patients in Huntsville. His knowledge and swift diagnosis saved my life when he determined I was suffering from an ectopic pregnancy after another Dr.'s inadequate assessment. He was caring and totally committed to his calling to serve. Enjoy the peace and comfort of great the memories he left behind and know they are lifetime blessings.

Our sincerest condolences to all the Harris Family. I had the pleasure of playing cards against, and a few times with, my classmate Richard at Fisk University. Richard was a true Fisk loving alum and his memory and spirit will be cherished by all of us. May God comfort all of you during this time. Phil (and Victoria) Johnson, '69 & '70 Charlotte< NC
