Richard W. Hartfield, 64, a longtime resident of the New Windsor, New York, area, a U.S. Navy veteran from 1956 to 1958, a detective for 19 years with the N.Y.P.D., died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2003. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, 2003, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at Coloni Funeral Home, Route 9 W, New Windsor. Further visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, New York. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Putnam, New York. Arrangements entrusted to Coloni Funeral Home, New Windsor, New York.
