Read MoreI wish I would have known Ricky was very ill so I could have seen him before he passed away. He was an excellent mathematician, math tutor, computer scientist and physicist and a good and gentile soul. A good friend of mine and my father who were both into horse racing and football betting. I'll miss him greatly I cared for him very much and was always concerned for his well being. God bless you Ricky rest in peace with love!

He was a frequent and well known long time customer at Thistledown Race Track where I work. A real gentleman, quite the character--it was always a pleasure to see him pushing his walker which was always loaded down with his papers (including the racing form), always with a big smile on his face. Glad to have known you Richard---you'll be missed!

What a wonderful way to describe him in this obituary. Since his Christmas card got returned, I feared he might have died. I'll truly miss him.
