Not sure what to say?

I had Mr Hawkins as my history teacher before 2010. He was a good man, funny and had great stories. He had an impact in my life and I swore I'd never forget him. I didn't know he passed. I will forever miss him.

I am sorry for his family, I have just found this information. We are neighbors, I would stop & talk to him several times over the years. Many years ago, I found Richard on the ground outside his car very late @ night. I called 911 & stayed with him holding his hand and keeping him warm till the ambulance arrived. Richard always called me his Angel after that night. Wonder kind man, sorry to the family.

To the best history teacher I´ve ever had. Rest In Peace. My prayers are with you. You will truly be missed.

Mr. Hawkins. You had a significant impact on developing critical thinking related to literature. Rest in peace teacher.

Mr. Hawkins was a good man. SFDS Class of 1997.

Mr. Hawkins, it took my breath away to learn that you were gone. As a teacher you left a huge impression on me to want to know as much as I could about as much as I could. You inspired me to learn something new every day and to recognize the lesson. I appreciate you for that, and for being one of my favorite people. Leasa (Maxie) Coppage '76

Rest In Peace Richard Hawkins. You were more than just a principal, you were a mentor, a teacher, a coach, but more importantly... you were a friend. Till the next time...

Richard, you touched many lives through your career. Rest in Peace. You played the game of life with dedication and have finally reached "HOME"safely. God Bless
