Not sure what to say?

He was a good man. I still remember him...He left a lasting impression. Thank you Mr Hayward for your service to our country in many ways. My sympathies to the Hayward family. Mr Hayward is the father of one of my childhood friends, John Hayward.

While I have not been in contact with Rich in many years, I remember him as a very special guy. Rich was still a kid when he came into my ground school, and I knew he was destined to be a great pilot. For all his accomplishments he never lost touch with his roots and his wonderful sense of humor. For those of us who fly, pilots who "slip the surly bonds" are deeply mourned. The world will be less for his loss, but he lived well while with us. Put it down softly, Rich, just beyond the gate....

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Growing up as a kid, I remember when Rich, Billy and my brothers would spend our time on Saturdays going fishing, then spend the day just goofing around. I will truly miss you so far away!

Rich and I were inducted into the reserves together in June of 83 in the 45th AEF. The years of flying and friendship never stopped. The world will be a lesser place without him. For myself, Andy and Roger, God speed and hold a place at the table for us at the table old friend. See ya soon. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

Our thoughts and Prayers are with you!
Sincerely Jerry Colosky and family
