I think of Richard often. He was one of my Dad's best friends. We called him Uncle Richard. We he was coming for a visit, my brother and I would get so excited. He once went on a European trip with our family. My Dad died this summer and my Mom 6 years ago. In clearing out their house of 50+ years, I found many memories of dear Uncle Richard. So funny and loving and 'cheap' on things for himself (I remember all of us being shocked when we talked him into getting a Cusinart ). Very generous...

What fond memories I have of Richard. My brother and I called him Uncle. He went on many a trip with us. He always made one of laugh (sometimes torturing the other one). I recall throwing darts at a Nixon postcard in our basement with him. He would sing lullabies in sign language to annoy my brother. When my brother got in trouble for pulling the chair out from under me, Richard and I could barely contain our laughter at the situation. He and my parents were such good friends and good times...
