Pete, this is one of the coolest obits ever. Condolences to all. My memory of your dad was when he rode his Harley from the UP to Mio, we were in a softball tourney, and I think we had gotten into a brawl or something like that. We ended up being short players, so your dad played for us in his cowboy boots, and jeans. I'm sure he ended up playing in several games like that, and he played well for us too. To Zitch's family.....
I used to work at the IMA Arena.....sharpened Zitch's skates and the guys in the leagues many, many times. Also played a lot of pickup hockey with the guys from Dover as well as all the other teams. Zitch was a great person, always had something going on. Those were great days. Laughs, new friends and hockey. What more could you ask for...

I am saddend to hear of Zitch's passing.I played hockey (Dover) and some softball with Zitch.We had many great times.I recall one hockey game were a younger player took a run at Zitch and missed him as the younger player started to get up Zitch cross checked him in the back.The younger player looked at the ref. and said did you see that?The ref said yes I did! I saw you take the run and he finished you off! The ref told him that Zitch has forgotten more about this game than he knew.He always...

We were deeply saddend to hear of Zitch's passing. The Dover hockey days were the best. So many great times and laughs at Raincheck bar. The Perry boys loved him. He was a great hockey player and team mate. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, God Bless. Tony & Laurie Perry
