Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Rick´s passing. While we knew each other at Lake Highlands, we ran in different circles, so he was someone I knew, but not a close friend. However, once I transferred to Texas Tech, I connected with him there and I will always remember him being so cool to get me $5 cases of Bud longnecks at the beer store where he worked. He was a GodSend. I connected with him after graduation and visited him at his apt near Richland College. Such a good person. Best to his family. I´ve...

Bartis was a great friend. Always happy and always ready for the next get together. Even when I was a pledge and he was a well-seasoned active, he included me in the fun and was always laughing and welcoming. A great brother; when he showed up, the party became legit. We had a lot of fun convincing waitresses that he was Barry Manilow and deserved sepcial attention.

I'm really sorry about your loss. I attended Lake Highlands High School, then Texas Tech. Rick and I hung out together every once in a while in Lubbock. After Texas Tech, Rick and I rented a condo near Richland College for about a year, but lost touch since then. When people would call, they would ask for Rick, and we would get a kick out of saying, "which one?". We had some good times! He will be missed. Rest in peace Rick!

So sorry to hear the news. Bartis was a good friend, always there with a smile and a laugh. Rest in peace, brother.

Such fun and fond memories with Rick during college at Texas Tech. Rest in Peace my old friend.

Bartis was a true friend. I will always cherish the memories from the Kappa Sigma Lodge and all the BBQ Cook Offs or my trips to Dallas. He will be missed.
