Rich and I went to pilot training at Vance AFB, where he was number 1 in the class, but he was also the best classmate by far. He was one of those fun guys you always wanted to be around. Rich was a top notch officer and pilot in the USAF and always a great friend. I am very sad to hear of his passing and send my sincere condolences to Donna Jean and the entire family.
