Read MoreI knew Dick at Lakewood Elementary. Even though I didn't get to go to Woodrow, I did see him a few times at reunions and he was always the same, a super nice guy with a great sense of humor! He was a pretty big deal in elementary school if I remember correctly!! I will keep Sally and his family in my prayers.

First knew Dick at Lakewood Elementary. He was a year ahead of me. I always admired his athleticism. Before school we would play pickup baseball games and Dick would hit the ball over the fence. In Long Jr. Hi. I was in the band and watched the combination of Hill, Hendrix and Horine and dream some day of playing football. Heard of his accomplishments at Austin College. Great guy. Sorry to see this.
