Richard Leighton Hilt

Dick and I left CC's Physics department the same year, 2019. I took a few classes with him and they were always fun. I'm sorry to hear of his passing and condolences to his family.

In my forty years of visits from England to Colorado College it was always a pleasure to see Dick and Sandra, both within the College and at Chorale rehearsals. I was pleased to see them both when I visited last May, but am sad that I'll never see him again. My deepest condolences to Sandra at this difficult time.

Professor Hilt was my Physics 140/141 teacher at CC in about 1976 and I still remember that class and its lessons. We had lab with oral reports every afternoon and I'll never forget giving my report and not getting a single question from Dr. Hilt as he gave us the grade WBTYM...the highest grade he gave for a lab report.
